Caldwell Senior Center receives Grant from The Unifour Foundation Inc., Endowment
The Satie and J.E Broyhill Caldwell Senior Center has been awarded a grant of $2000; from the Unifour Foundation Inc., Endowment, according to April Austin, Executive Director.
The Unifour Foundation Inc., Endowment is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF).
The grant will be used support the operations of the Caldwell Senior Center. "Our purpose is to be a focal point in aging in the community," stated director, April Austin. "Our mission is to provide services and activities that enhance the lives of older adults, encouraging involvement in the community and providing advocacy." The center offers a variety of programming for those age 60 and older. Services include information and assistance, educational programs, health and wellness activities, social, and recreational activities.
The Senior Center, which is located at 650-A Pennton Ave., in Lenoir, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information about the Senior Center, call 758-2883.
